Business – Management Diploma

Overview

Expand your horizons with specialized expertise.

This is the second year of the Business Diploma program from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The Business Certificate program provides a well-rounded foundation in core business concepts, including accounting, finance, management, computers, marketing, human resources, insurance and more. The second year allows you to specialize in management.

If you like being part of decision-making processes, and are interested in organizational culture and interpersonal dynamics, the management specialty will appeal to you. Business Management is many things – efficient management of people, effective organization of resources, and strategic planning for growth. You could work in an administrative role in a wide range of public and privately owned enterprises, crown corporations and government organizations, or start your own business.

Why Parkland College?

“I chose Parkland College because they offered Business Administration year one, and this is a course that I have always wanted to take. The location is great because I live in Fort Qu’Appelle and I didn’t have to drive far or relocate.

The best thing about Parkland College is the staff, they work with you one on one. I have recommended Parkland College to others, because of the staff. The teachers take the time to help you learn and if you were ever in need they were there to help come to a solution.”

When can I apply?
You can apply anytime for SaskPolytech certificate programs at Parkland College. However, please note that applicants are accepted on a first come/first qualified basis. Original transcripts are required for acceptance into a program. Applications can be sent without the original but will not be officially considered until all entrance requirements are met (original transcript included).

If a program runs full-time can I still take it on a part-time basis?
Yes, most of the programs are available on a class by class basis (for domestic students only). If you are interested in taking a program but can only do a few classes per semester we can create a schedule that will suit your needs. Some classes do have a prerequisite requirement and need to be taken in a certain order. We can help guide you through the process!

Are there English language requirements for International Students?
All programs require an IELTS minimum 6.5 with no bands less than 5.5.
