Overview
Industrial Mechanics is an apprenticeship level program. There are four levels, each providing knowledge and skill development in installing, servicing, repairing and overhauling machines which produce industrial goods. Industrial mechanics are also known by other trade names (e.g., maintenance mechanics, millwrights or machine repairmen).
Parkland College offers training periods at the Esterhazy location, however all apprenticeship training is scheduled by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC). For more information about Industrial Mechanics (requirements for technical and on-the-job training, entrance level and journeyperson examinations) or for information about start dates for specific training periods, please contact the SATCC directly.
